These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
John 15:11 (KJV)
As we put our trust in Jesus, let us remember that His desire for us is that we are filled with His joy. There should be great joy in our walk with the Lord, for no matter what we face in the area of circumstances and conditions, we are joined to Him who has overcome the world. And as we abide in Him, we get to partake in that overcoming!
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:19 (KJV)
The more we open ourselves to simply receiving the love of Christ, the more will we be filled with and able to carry God’s fullness into our world. And the more we see ourselves as the vessels and instruments through which Jesus can manifest Himself unto the people in our world, the more of His goodness will we see reflected in our lives and day to day affairs.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:5 (ESV)
When we receive the love of God into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, hope begins to envelop us. We may walk with a calm reassurance, a quiet confidence that we will see the goodness of God in our lives. Today, let the Holy Spirit speak to you of God’s love. Let this love fill you and saturate you, and be assured that your hope will not put you to shame.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:32 (KJV)
Let us be glad in knowing that God in Christ Jesus freely gives us all things. Our task each day is to receive His unspeakable love and His unmerited favor, to walk in them, and by faith take hold of what His grace has already provided.
And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
Luke 10:5-6 (KJV)
Let us speak peace over our home, over our workplace, and over any other environments we may come into contact with. The more we are willing to bring the peace of God into our day to day world, the more will we ourselves be at peace independent of any circumstances and conditions.
And to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:19 (KJV)
Being filled with all the fullness of God is to know His love in and through Christ Jesus. This surpasses intellectual knowledge and must be known in the heart. When it sinks into our hearts just how much He loves us, our lives cannot help but overflow with His goodness.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
When we are willing to walk in faith and trust in the goodness of God, we may rest assured that He will lead us into the life He has purposed for us to live. Here we will find opportunities to use our gifts and talents in a way that will serve the kingdom of God, and be a blessing to the people in our world.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:28 (KJV)
After we receive Jesus no one and nothing can ever separate us from Him. We have been spiritually united with Christ for eternity, and no amount of mistakes or shortcomings on our part can undo this union. Our role is to receive His precious gift of righteousness, and all that comes with it, by faith.
