Let Your Light So Shine (Matthew 5:16)

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

Nothing is more important than for believers everywhere to shine their light. Let us realize that we are called to carry the love of Christ into our world, to be the very instruments through which the goodness and the grace of God may be made manifest in this earth. In this we never seek our own glory, but we are quick to realize that whenever that light shines, it is not us but Christ working in us—Christ in us, the hope of glory. And so let us look to Jesus, let us follow where He leads each of us, and may we give Him all of the honor and all of the glory.

Living Out Of Who We Are In Christ (2 Cornithians 5:17)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

In Christ we have been made a brand new creation. The moment we are in Christ our spirit is recreated after the image of God in righteousness and true holiness. The task of every born again believer now is to bridge the gap between our perfect spirit in Christ and our imperfect soul. The soul—our mind, our will, and our emotions—must be brought into alignment with our new nature and identity according to the Word of God. Practially speaking, we renew the mind daily by meditating on and confessing our new idenity in Christ. This enables us to live more fully out of who we are in Him, giving us full access to the victory Jesus has already obtained for us.

God Is Not Limited By The Things Of This World (Ephesians 6:8)

knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

Ephesians 6:8 (NKJV)

We serve a God who is not limited by the things of this world. In other words, situations and circumstances in the natural realm cannot keep us from the blessings of God. Even a person who is physically bond or restricted in some way will receive the fullness of the blessings due to them. And so let us rejoice, knowing that in Christ we have already been declared righteous before God, and that we are already the joint heirs of the kingdom. This means that no person, place, thing, circumstance or condition can prevent the goodness of God from manifesting in your life as you receive what is true of you in Him by faith!
